Katya Avramenko’s book about Moscow invites the reader into personal memories, allowing them to experience their own Moscow — the city that is precious to them.
The thread that ties the narrative together is the passage of time — the changing hours of the day, from early morning to late evening. The book is divided into four large chapters, each dedicated to one of the seasons. It reflects the cycle of life itself — from childhood and the vibrancy of summer to autumn and winter, and then spring again, as a metaphor for a new beginning.
The first edition consists of 1,000 copies. Each book will feature a unique number handwritten by the author on the colophon page.

I was in the bookstore on Tverskaya today and bought a book. I can’t wait to express my delight and admiration! What a labor of love went into the creation, the selection procedure, the layout! How diverse the photographic series is. I remember very well the Christmas tree in the window of the house, the beautiful cups on the table in the cafe, the high-rise buildings in the fog, the pictures of the city residents in a completely unstaged format, the greenery of the parks (I think I recognized the park near the Novodevichy Pond?) and much, much more. I liked the book. Starting with the cover, ending with the last pages with words of gratitude and small previews of the photos. Thanks to your work and talent, such a wonderful, warm book appeared. Thank you!

I received Katya Avramenko’s photo book about Moscow by pre-order. I am sitting here wiping away tears of joy. This is absolutely my Moscow. A city of beautiful people, pigeons and watches. A city warmed by the warmth of hands, washed by the rain, hidden under the leaves, smelling of bread. A city where conversations are drowned in tea. A city where you can spy on all the stories, where the evening light is the most beautiful. A city filled with childhood and love.

If Moscow were a girl, this would be her photo album! Here she is young, adult, in love, romantic, ordinary, cold, Soviet, childish! What a tender gift to those in love with Moscow. Only a very warm person can see Moscow like this, like woolen mittens from childhood, like a Moscow bun with sugar, like a tabby cat on your lap. I adore Katya!

I got the book! It’s just magical! How warm and real it is! You can look at it, admire it and watch it again a million times! It’s like episodes that come together to form a single film. To be honest, I was afraid that it would be your Moscow, not mine. But no. This is absolutely my favorite, native, familiar city. Thank you for your work and our joy!

Your book is the most beautiful of those that I have ever held in my hands, I leafed through it today, read it and even cried from the overwhelming emotions. It’s hard for me to even imagine what a colossal amount of work it is, how everything is selected and how well the idea with the change of seasons is realized! I knew that your shots are magical, but that everything will feel so much like in 5D is a revelation for me! I thank you with all my heart for these emotions, you are an inspirational person for me.
